Fresh film can look slightly hazy or show small water pockets for the first few days — that's moisture drying out behind the film, and it clears on its own. Leave the windows up for 3–5 days and skip the car wash until it's settled.

Yes, though how much depends entirely on the film rather than how dark it looks. Ceramic and infrared-rejecting films block significantly more heat than standard dyed film at the same shade. We'll show you the manufacturer's heat-rejection specs for whatever film you're considering so you're comparing real numbers.
Quality window films are rated to block up to 99% of UV rays, including clear films that barely change how the glass looks. That's what protects your interior from fading and cracking — and your skin on long drives or in a sunny room.
Yes, and it varies by state — with different limits for front side windows, rear windows and the windshield. Some states also restrict reflective or mirrored film. Tell us where the vehicle is registered and we'll recommend the darkest legal option, or tell you plainly if what you're asking for isn't.
Leave the windows up for 3 to 5 days while the film cures, and don't panic if it looks hazy or shows small water pockets at first — that's normal and clears as the moisture dries out. After it's cured, clean with an ammonia-free cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth. Ammonia-based cleaners break film down over time.
